This is the first time any campaign for any office seeker has visited my home.  It was nice to have the chance to have a candidate's representative speak with me face to face.  She presented Mr. Kalra's candidacy well.

I followed up this evening by visiting Mr. Kalra's web site.  I liked his emphasis on core city services and public safety.  I think those should be the first priority of city government.  I also liked his creative thinking on ways to improve educational programs and the local economy.  And I am impressed by the Mercury News endorsement of his candidacy.

This is the beginning of my learning more about the candidates and issues in this election, so I'm not quite ready to put up an "Ash Kalra" sign on my lawn yet.  I plan to visit each candidate's web site before I make my decision.  But I appreciated Mr. Kalra's campaign reaching out to me, and appreciate the positions he expressed.
